The impact of the first iPhone

It has been 15 years since the release of the first iPhone. Even tho it isn’t the first smartphone, it is the first that will change our lives as we know them. The first iPhone sets a record by selling 1 million units in 90 days while Apple evolves into one of the most valuable companies in the world. The first “consequences” begin by upseting its competitors. Companies like Nokia and BlackBerry lose their glory and audience whilst Samsung grows to be one of Apple’s greatest competitors.

But they weren’t contained in smartphone companies. Everyday more people snap photos with their phone rather than a camera. Soon advertising campaigns transfer to our phones’ screens since everyone’s eyes are glued to them. Even super markets are affected by the iPhone. Gums and other similar products are placed right before checkout since people get bored while waiting and they buy gum. Yet people don’t even raise their heads from their phone’s screen.

It even affected gum sales! Gum!
