It was on this day 21 years ago when the first two Apple stores open their gates to the public. Apple’s decision to open retail stores was doubted by many. Let’s not forget that in 2001 it wasn’t the best time for the company. Some considered it the right move at the time yet others believed backruptcy was coming next. Nowadays we know that Steve Job’s decision to open the Apple store chain was a decisive factor of its recovery. But how did the Apple stores help to the company’s revival?

Each store offered a chance to people to test the possibilities of an Apple computer instead of hearing obscure words and phrases. This was a new way to explore and buy computers and it helped people understand what they may find in tech store. Furthermore, the Genius Bar offered helped to those who experienced problems with their devices and repaired them if needed for a small price or even free sometimes!
